I've always been drawn to photographs and the history behind them, the way they can preserve a moment in time, a whole story in a single image. As a child photos were a way for me to keep close to my dad. I would spend hours going through my family's photo albums admiring the younger versions of my parents, being reminded of moments and things I had forgotten, and reminiscing summers spent with my dad in Colorado. It made me feel reconnected to it all. It's that connection that inspired me to take a film and darkroom class in 2006 where I became fascinated with the entire process- from taking the photo to developing the film and watching the result of all my work slowly appear into something physical, memories I could hold in my hands.
It wasn't until I got married and started a family that I realized how special and temporary these moments really are. Becoming a wife has shown me how love can grow, change and inspire. How to love and embrace the good and the bad, for better or worse. Becoming a mother shifted my whole perspective on life. It taught me to see the magic in the mundane, beauty in the mess. Realizing how fleeting this beautiful life is my desire to document and hold onto it grew into a passion I knew I wanted to share with others.
I just love people and sentimentalize everything in life so giving others a way to look back on their favorite memories and view them from a perspective they would never see otherwise is what fills my soul. We all deserve these keepsakes, to leave a legacy.

Photography Is more than seeing, it's feeling

When you hire me you're hiring someone with over 15 years of photography experience, 4 years of education in digital and film photography, and over 9 years of experience as a professional wedding photographer. All of my work seen here is from real weddings and real portrait sessions. I know how to read a room and how to adapt when things don't go as planned.
This is my full time job so you have my full time attention! No waiting for days for a response, no waiting months for your photos. This is not just my side-gig, it's my life, and I put my heart and soul into it.

Real Experience

What sets me apart

What you see is what you get

I personally photograph and hand edit all of your photos. It will be me that arrives on your wedding day, not an associate, and I will never outsource my editing. To me, editing is just as much a part of the art as taking the photo. I edit each photo with intention, based off of the feeling of that moment.
Honesty and integrity are a key part of who I am and how I run my business. I will always set expectations and answer any of your questions so you know exactly what you're investing into.

What sets me apart

You're never just a number

When I say I care about my clients I really mean it. This is more than just a job to me, I take your trust very seriously and do absolutely everything I can to make sure you not only get great photos but that you also have a great experience. I limit the amount of weddings and portrait sessions I take on each year so that I can give each client and wedding the time and attention they deserve.
Quality > quantity. Always.

What sets me apart

While I do believe that any skilled photographer can create great work with any camera, when it comes to once-in-a-lifetime moments I will only use high-end professional camera equipment. For weddings I always photograph with 2 cameras so I never miss a moment in case of a malfunction, all of your images are always recorded to two separate SD cards in case one fails, and I backup all images to multiple sources to keep them safe until they have been delivered to you.
When it comes to 35mm film I only photograph manually with an SLR camera with professional quality film.

What sets me apart

Making memories with my twin girls, quality time with my soulmate, watching hockey and motocross with my brothers, cuddling my spoiled cats, drinking a beer with friends, deep conversation, scenic drives, praising and worshiping God in all that I do.
